      Yes we plan to be out on Friday. Thursday night does not look good at this time. They are forecasting 12-15 mph winds which is too high for safe banding operations. Friday looks windy at this point, as well, but we will probably try at least the lower nets.

    Thanks Clair & Zig & Joanna for providing a successful evening of Saw Whets last night. Hope your success continued after we left. Kathy has a photo of inspecting one of the critters under the UV lamp she wants to share with you – don’t see how to attach here, so if interested send an email. I was checking Kathy’s list records & we were not there in 2008 when you nabbed that Barred Owl. However we have notes of being there on Nov 16, 2007 w/ a Barred Owl being netted. Did you get one 2 years in a row?

      Art,
      Just checked and discovered that we did get a Barred Owl two years in a row, 2007 and 2008, and then none again until this year. I didn’t remember that … along with a lot of other things that happened seven years ago. Oh, well … as my mother would have said.
